Timothy Breneman

Chief Warrant Officer Timothy R. Breneman, 36, of Daytona Beach, Florida, was the pilot in command of an AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter that crashed during night gunnery training at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in southern Germany on September 19, 2006 .  He was killed in the crash, along with his co-pilot.  Both men were members of the 1st Armored Division’s 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.

Breneman graduated from Mainland High School and become an Army Ranger in 1994 after studying art and photography at Daytona Beach Community College.

“We have all these happy thoughts of things he did as a kid,” said his mother, Flo Breneman. “He had a wonderful sense of humor, and no matter what he did, we were proud of him — and there is so much he did.”

In addition to his mother, Breneman is survived by his father, wife and sister.

This is heart breaking. Tim was such a fun loving guy. He will be deeply missed. There is a great memorial to Tim located here: http://timbreneman.org/bio.htm. It even has a couple of pictures on it from his Mainland days.
