Eric Forbes, 45, of Holly Hill, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2016 at his residence in Holly Hill, Florida. He was born on January 15, 1971 in Auburn, Indiana to James Forbes and Brenda DeRosia. A Celebration of his Life was held on Saturday July 16, 2016 from 1:00pm til 4:00pm at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 129 N. Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach, FL. 

Eric moved to this area in 1987 from Indiana. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1989. He honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corp. Eric was an avid jeeper. He was a member of the Eastcoast Krawlers and was highly involved with Team RWB a veterans group. He also loved the beach. Survivors include his parents, Brenda (Phil) DeRosia of Ormond Beach and James Forbes of Kendallville, Indiana; son, Cody Forbes of Waco, TX; daughter, Shelby Lehman of Sturgis, Michigan; Granddaughter, Emmalynn Forbes of Waco, TX; brothers, Chris Forbes of Butler, Indiana, Philip (Mandy) DeRosia of Daytona Beach, and Jim Forbes; sister, Lisa Forbes; maternal grandparents, Hazel Henderson and Arnold Berryhill both of Angola, Indiana. He is also survived by his special friend, Wrangler, who was always faithfully by his side. He was preceded in death by his children, Courtney Farrar and Cassandra Forbes.
